Buying teeth whitening products from your local pharmacy is an economical and time saving alternative to costly teeth whitening procedures. If you are too busy or have financial constraints, over the counter teeth whitening products is a good option. Most teeth whitening products are available at your local pharmacy but you do need to have a prescription in order to buy one. For this, you may need to go your dentist at least once.
Here are some of the teeth whitening products that you can buy:
*Teeth whitening toothpaste will gradually whiten your teeth. If you are smoker, the toothpaste will work slowly in removing the stains caused by nicotine.
*Teeth whitening applicators are moldings in the shape of your teeth, which cleanse your teeth with whitening chemicals. Non-molding based teeth whitening applicators are less costly but are not as effective as the molding based teeth applicators.
*Teeth whitening gel is used the same way you would use teeth whitening toothpaste but the gel is far more result yielding. An applicator is used to apply the gel to your teeth, similar to a toothbrush. The gel applicator is specially made for the gel.
*Whitening strips are are used twice a day. When used regularly over a period of time, whitening strips will whiten your teeth. The whitening chemicals are placed on the strips and the strips are applied to the teeth for about half an hour in a day.
Certainly, teeth whitening kits purchased from the local pharmacy are not as effective and result yielding as the bleaching based teeth whitening procedure. A dentist will have advanced tools and equipment for certain kinds of teeth, which yield better and instantaneous results. However, if you are after an economical way to whiten your teeth, teeth whitening products will do the job for you, albeit gradually.
